Another Milestone

John's first ride in the race car shopping cart. Carter was very excited to ride next to him and was very sweet (most of the time). But given how uncomfortable he was in there, I suspect that it may also have been his last ride.

Chicago Trip

We took a grown-ups only trip to Chicago this weekend. I went up early to help Mandi with wedding dress shopping (we found one!). Thomas came up on Friday and we stayed the rest of the weekend with Stubbie & Shannon (and their growing fetus). While we were away, Carter had an excellent time with his Cart Cart here in Atlanta.

Culture Shock

And so we begin what I am sure will be an ongoing series of observations about how different things are in Atlanta than they are in NYC.

At the grocery store:
Ten different kinds of whipped topping. Ten. And that was only in the freezer aisle.

Fall Clothes

We did a little shopping last weekend to get some fall clothes for Carter. He really enjoys being dressed, so he was happy to model a few things for you.


We ended up getting 6-9 month sizes in onesies and overalls. They weren't too too big, and we figure we'll get more use out of them, since he'll probably outgrow the 3-6 month size pretty quickly. We have a pediatrician visit next week so we'll get the scoop on his height/weight then.
