Another Milestone

John's first ride in the race car shopping cart. Carter was very excited to ride next to him and was very sweet (most of the time). But given how uncomfortable he was in there, I suspect that it may also have been his last ride.

Too Much Ninja Warrior

I'm thinking we may have watched too much American Ninja Warrior at our house this summer...

Trust me when I say that this is the very least of it.

Tired, Full, Almost Home

As I'm writing this, both boys are asleep in the back of the car, and I'm trying to stay awake to keep Thomas company while he drives us home. It's been a busy weekend.

Yesterday, we kicked off the weekend with a t-ball game. Last night, Carter had his first sleepover with a school friend. This morning, he had a bike riding class at REI, and then we made a day trip to Lake Burton to visit some friends. In the midst of this, John (who is apparently feeling much better after his latest ear infection) ate approximately his own body weight in food. I would have thought the amount he ate was impossible, had I not seen it firsthand. Growth spurt? Making up for 3 weeks of sick? Who knows! It was crazy.

I'm sure Carter is looking forward to his summer camp tomorrow. It will be downright relaxing in comparison to his weekend!

First Bike Ride

We recently took our first bike ride as a family of four. We rode to the swimming pool, with John on the back of my bike and with Carter on the trail-a-bike attached to Thomas' bike (we're working on teaching him to ride his own bike, but we aren't there yet).

Carter was a couple of months older when we took him for his first ride, and he seemed to enjoy it a bit more than John did. On the way to the swimming pool, John was okay with the moving part, but did not care for stopping. On the way back, John didn't care about the bike at all. Tired out from splashing at the pool, he just wanted to snooze.

Almost ready to head out, just need the dreaded helmet

Arriving back home, ready for crib transfer
